"Dove on a Wire"

While taking a little ride around the family ranch, this little mourning dove decided to land on a barbed wire fence in some soft overcast light. I felt obligated to take its portrait. I’ve always found mourning doves to be absolutely beautiful with their subdued coloration and graceful lines. I’m fortunate enough to have them visit my home from time to time and really enjoy listening to their beautiful calls too.
