"Hung Out to Dry"

So many questions, but so few answers. It appears to me that deer were bedding in the grass along the fence line, as there were many beds and other deer sign there. This was late March, so the deer were shedding in my area. I’m guessing one of them got his tine through a gap in the barbed wire fence and was stuck there until he pulled the shed off. No sign of a struggle, so he may have been ready to shed anyway, and no one had been into that area all spring, so I know It wasn’t placed there. .
