"Pyrocumulus sunset"

By: Clint Wirick (Monroe, UT)

While running my dogs on Greater sage-grouse in south-central Utah, an unreal moment took place. A rare pyrocumulus began to form, climbing high full of smoke, ash, and thunder. When my dog found a flock of sage-grouse and went on point, I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for a photograph.
