"The Stare Down"

As I slowly slid across the ice on my stomach, trying to get as close as I could to the riverbank, I watched this Drake Mallard slowly swim up the edge, feeding just beneath the ice. He was finally positioned just in front of me as he rose from bobbing beneath the ice he locked eyes with my camera.
